JOB OBJECTIVE: Under the direction of the site manager, this position is responsible for the administrative support or technical program assistance work for Fort Lancaster State Historic Site of the Texas Historical Commission (THC). Work involves overseeing administrative/business operations, retail operations, visitor services; assisting with interpretive and educational program planning and development, volunteer management, promotional and marketing activities; records management and reporting; and light custodial duties to maintain an overall professional appearance for visitors. May train others. Work under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
