VICTIM WITNESS ASSISTANCE COORDINATOR
Scotts Bluff County Attorney’s office is currently accepting applications for the position of Victim Witness Assistance Coordinator. This position is responsible legal service work supporting and assisting victims of domestic violence. It also involves assisting victims in their efforts to gain restitution; interviewing and preparing victims for court testimony; and providing case information and assisting prosecuting attorneys. Work requires considerable knowledge of legal terminology and legal documents; of local, state and Federal laws and proceedings related to the area of specialty. Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills and computer skills a must. Confidentiality must be maintained and a background check will be done. Graduation from high school or equivalent and some experience assisting legal counsel or conducting client interviews is required. An associate’s degree in human services or paralegal studies preferred. Excellent benefits package. Scotts Bluff County is an EOE/AA.
