VCA Veterinary Emergency Service & Veterinary Specialty Center in Middleton, WI seeks an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to oversee and supervise our Emergency and Critical Care service.

In the Emergency Veterinary Technician Supervisor Role your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Directing work flow on the floor
• Cultivate an inclusive work environment and strong hospital culture

• Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
• Help with the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates
• Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills
• Conduct staff meetings
• Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience

• Mentoring technicians within the department
• Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner
• Refining and implementing protocols
• Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all technical staff members.

You will work alongside our Medical Director, Hospital Manager, and Department Supervisors to provide mentorship, ensure the hospital runs efficiently and fosters a winning environment.

VETERINARY TECHNICIAN SUPERVISOR QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed Veterinary Technician- CVT
• 4+ years of clinical experience (Emergency or Specialty background)
• Team leadership experience
• Passion for Veterinary Medicine

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Schedule: Full-time opportunity. We utilize a 4 x 10 hour shift schedule.
