We are currently seeking 2 Veterinary Technicians to join our family of upbeat and caring professionals. Applicants should have enthusiastic energy, a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and have a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends. Experience is preferred. Responsibilities:
- Triaging patients and taking their vitals and acquiring patient history and other information from clients.
- Safely handling and restraining animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, and other exotics.
- Filling prescriptions and handling vaccines/injectable medications
- Acquiring cephalic, saphenous, and jugular blood samples.
- Inserting IV catheters and fluid therapy
- Monitoring anesthesia
- Processing specimens in the in-house laboratory and submitting specimens to outside laboratories.
- Preparing animals and equipment for surgical procedures
- Administering medications and vaccines prescribed by a veterinarian
- Performing radiographs
- Entering patients’ service charges into the computer database and keeping accurate patient records
- Explaining patient instructions to clients and sharing educational materials
