Alliance Hr Services is looking for Utility Operators

Pay start at $15 an hour!

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position requires the ability to work responsibly, get along with a variety of people, and be attentive to details. It requires becoming familiar with many aspects of the Manufacturing Departments. The Utility Operator will be assigned to various jobs, depending on need.

The Utility Operator is required to perform various tasks requiring various skill levels based on the needs of the operation. The employee will be required to meet production at a satisfactory level on all jobs as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Operate and tend/monitor a variety of machines during an operation to include machines that drill, grind, saw, cut, shear, punch, crimp, notch, bend, weld, or straighten metal or other material. Follows directions on work orders and information found on drawing packages for each job.

The operator:

Loads and unloads machines.

May make minor adjustments to controls. Inspects material to be used and output for defects.

Performs routine inspections of equipment and notifies Lead of malfunctions or evidence of possible equipment failure.

Counts fabricated parts.

Cleans machine as required.

Keeps work area clean.

Deburrs parts using hand sander, file, or tumbling machine, as required.

Helps move parts to other departments, as required.

May change and replace worn or broken tools.

Performs assembly operations, as required, using hand and power tools.

PREREQUISITES:

High School Education, specialized training, or equivalent experience.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Lifts 25 to 50 lbs., Stooping, bending, handling, and reaching required.

Stands 95% of day, sits 5%

Midrange and close vision required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Works inside 100%, exposed to shop and equipment noise. Exposed to hot temperatures in the plant during the summer months and exposed to colder temperatures in the plant during the winter months.

MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Lathes, milling machines, presses, grinders, robotic welder. Aluminum, steel and stainless steel. Hammers, punches, screwdrivers, wrenches, block vices, chisels, saws, scribe, gauges, wire pliers, vice grips, wrenches, and various other hand tools.

GENERAL COMMENTS

1. Good reading, communication, and math skills required.

2. Personal, work and/or school references must indicate dependability, good attendance, and consistent, steady worker, with few or no job related problems.

3. Must reflect positive attitude toward co-workers and customer personnel.

4. Must support and be engaged in AC’s quality, environmental, health and safety management system.
