ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Utility / Dishwasher position will be located in a restaurant and concessions setting.. This person performs a variety of job responsibilities relating to keeping the back of house clean and organized, helping out their co-workers, and overall adding to the success of the business. There are opportunities to learn culinary skills to advance your career.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cleaning the dining room area of the restaurant and cafe.
• Cleaning restrooms, restocking etc.
• Assist cooks with stocking the kitchen area.
• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
• Load and unload dishwashing machines
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. cutting boards, large pots and pans)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
• Help put away deliveries as they come in and keep back of house organized
• Set up workstations before meal prep begins
• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
• Remove garbage regularly
• Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor

QUALIFICATIONS

• Work experience as a Dishwasher / Utility.
• Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
• Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks, as needed
• Time management skills
• Attention to detail and sanitation rules
• Availability to work in shifts.
• High school diploma is a plus
