Navistar is looking for a
User Experience Lead . This position is charged with leading product design across multiple products within one of Navistar’s five critical user experience segments. You oversee design within your segment. This includes advocating for the customer, design process, research, interaction, and visual design/specification. You are a hands-on co-designer with product designers. You lead UX thought for your product owners and teams. You work with UX leads in other segments to establish best practices in research, standards and process across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Build good relationships with product teams and the broader business and design community.
- Lead the design for, and co-design approaches within your experience segment.
- Deliver useful, usable, and delightful digital products.
- Facilitate the development of consistency within your products
- Work to scale design consistency across broader experience through standards
- Lead user research and validation activities that yield business insights.
- Advocate for users and their needs.Advocate for maturing the UX practice at Navistar

Bachelor’s degree

At least 5 years of software engineer experience

Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. - Establishing and managing UX design standards libraries
- Designing shipped Responsive web, and native mobile and tablet apps for iOS and Android that adhere to Apple GUID and Material Design guidelines respectively.
- Defining and communicating user processes and flows
- Defining and communicating Interaction patterns
- Architecting Information – sorting, categorizing, formatting, ordering, chunking.
- Providing detailed specs
- Advocating design in business, product, and broader organizational spheres.
- Applying UX design conventions appropriately.
- High proficiency in graphic facilitation (workshopping) to drive decision-making and consensus.
- Proficiency designing and facilitating in-person and remote workshops in tools like mirro/mural.
- Ability to lead your team in generating high business-value artefacts from design thinking and user research activities.
