Full-Time (1.0), year-round position

Position Statement
San Domenico School, a K-12 independent school in San Anselmo, is seeking a dynamic professional for the role of Upper School Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant is part of our expanding team and growing school. The addition of this position will provide support to the Upper School Administrative team, specifically to the Dean of Students and the Director of the
Upper School. This is a full-time, year-round position.

Key Responsibilities:

● Monitor and track attendance, which includes producing weekly reports, documenting student absences and tardies

● Provide administrative support for the Upper School Administrative Team, which may include supporting and/or coordinating assemblies, flex programs, class trips, clubs, and other student activities

● Support Director of Upper School/Assistant Head of School for Academics in administrative tasks

● Serve as the representative for the Upper School at the weekly all-school calendar team meeting

● Support the completion of Boarding Program administrative tasks, as needed

● Able to manage office tasks, including catering orders, office supplies and regular use of

Powerschool (student information system)

● Attends all faculty meetings, takes minutes, and shares minutes with faculty.

● Serve as part of the Substitute Teacher Scheduling Coordinator

● In coordination with the US Administrative Team, plan school events (e.g. Award

Ceremonies, Graduation)

Core Qualifications:

● Consistently exude a kind, warm, patient and professional demeanor with students, families, and staff

● Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
● Excellent communication and writing skills
● Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Drive knowledge
● Able to work independently, has a strong work ethic, and a desire to work with a diverse group of students, parents and faculty
● Possesses the flexibility, energy, sense of humor and commitment to teamwork that life in an independent day/boarding school requires
● Possesses an appreciation for adolescents, a collaborative spirit, and a consistent approach to student needs
● Minimum 3 years of full-time clerical and/or administrative work experience in office administration
● High School or GED Required
● Associate/Bachelor’s degree preferred

Compensation:

Salary range for this position is $65,523 - $80,900 commensurate with experience, plus an excellent benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life/403b retirement plan. This position is classified as non-exempt.
