POSITION SUMMARY

The primary function of this position is to provide sales support to the Kansas City Regions Commercial Banking team. This role will work with commercial customers to establish deposit accounts, perform account maintenance as needed and assist them with their day-to-day banking needs. This position will work collaboratively with Commercial Bankers, Retail Banking (Cash Management Experts), and Deposit Operations to further develop and manage the treasury management function of the bank. This will include, but is not limited to, the generation of new business from existing and prospective clients, consulting with clients, identifying their needs, and delivering treasury management and deposit product solutions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-3 years of banking experience working with Commercial customers
  • High school diploma; college degree preferred
  • Maintain a high degree of discretion, professionalism and confidentiality
  • Excellent follow through, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess a can-do customer service attitude/philosophy with internal and external customers

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Work in partnership with Treasury Management Officer and Commercial Bankers to establish new customer relationships and provide ongoing support for established customers.

  • Onboard new and existing clients, i.e. responsible for deposit account documentation and setting up new accounts, responsible for maintenance to account documentation as needed, prepare treasury management agreements and related documentation for treasury management services.

  • Join Treasury Management Officer and Commercial Bankers on joint calls, especially when demonstrating business online banking and treasury management services is needed.

  • Contribute to the Banks overall profitability and growth by achieving set goals for increased penetration of treasury management products, fee income, and new deposit growth.

  • Gather and keep current market data on products and services being offered by other FIs and non-FIs which are utilized by customers and prospects.

  • Serve as a point of contact for Retail associates as they evaluate cash management needs of their own prospects (i.e. reviewing analysis statements from the customers legacy bank) and to help them formulate presentations or sales objectives for calls.

  • Serve as a resource and assist in data analysis for relationship reviews, helping identify the current structure of a customers accounts and services and helping to make suggestions for changes/additions to expand LNBs existing relationships.

  • Builds and monitors business analytics reports and communicates to customers or teammates as appropriate to proactively address customer needs, i.e. balance fluctuations, deficit balance, non-post, etc.

  • QA for backside treasury service implementation.

  • Work on special projects as assigned.

  • Attend and participate in ongoing training. Conduct product training for Retail associates.

  • Other tasks as assigned from time to time by supervisor or other members of management.
