We are looking for a remote Technical Training Consultant to support our client based in Tallahassee, FL.

US BASED CANDIDATES ONLY.

This is a remote, contract position requiring 20 hours per week for four months.

The project

TECKpert seeks to hire a Technical Training Consultant on contract to support our client, a government agency based in Tallahassee, FL.

The Department is hiring for two (2) Comprehensive Child Welfare Information System
(CCWIS) Implementation Trainer positions to implement training materials and information
needed for Florida Abuse Hotline (Hotline) and Child Protective Investigative (CPI) teams to
properly and effectively utilize a new technology system and migrate away from the legacy
system currently in use.

The contractor will work with OCFW staff to design and develop training
materials and information including training modules, user manuals, and other materials
deemed necessary for effective organizational change management. The contractor will work
closely with regional training managers and training teams within local Sheriffs’ offices.

The contractor will support all Department training-related initiatives as a
change champion providing high quality communication and support to all levels of
Department staff and stakeholders. This position will include implementation assistance,
training, quality improvement, and administration. The ideal person shall have excellent
communication skills and advanced level training experience.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

The CCWIS Implementer Trainer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
a. Serve as the training lead for train-the-trainer events;
b. Collaborate with the project implementation Vendor to ensure the Department needs are
addressed;
c. Provide end-user training, as needed;
d. Serve as the subject matter expert in the creation of training curriculum and materials;
e. Coordinate end-user training readiness activities, including:

  • Develop and communicate end user training schedule;
  • Complete the instructor-led virtual training classroom set-up and readiness checks;
  • Publish end user training materials and supporting documentation;
  • Utilize Learning Management System (LMS) for course registrations;
  • Deliver virtual training sessions in alignment with training program, project schedule, and defined Florida CCWIS needs;

f. Disseminate training materials;
g. Quality Improvement:

  • Assists in the review and revision of final training materials;
  • Conduct training evaluations with the Department’s evaluation methodology;

h. Administration:

  • Vendor shall complete ongoing communication between regions and HQ regarding upcoming training events in accordance with Attachment A, Section 7(1);
  • Tracks training completion of train-the-trainer events;
  • Coordinates training logistics for Department staff;

i. Send attendance and evaluation reports to the Training Manager to help track the
progress of training participants;
j. Works with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including
reporting/analytics, design/user experience, IT, and user enablement;
k. Partners with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product
vision, strategy, features, and prioritization;
l. Monthly Status Report. The Vendor shall submit a Monthly Status Report with a
summary of the tasks and projects. For each task and project, the Vendor shall report whether the project has been started, in process, or completed; the status of the pending tasks and projects; by what percent (%)
is the project completed; the projected due dates of the project; any issues or concerns
and proposed solutions to those issues and concerns; and upcoming activities. The
Monthly Status Report will also include attendance and evaluation updates. The Vendor
shall work with the Department to create a Monthly Status Report template, within the
first 30 days of the Purchase Order taking effect; and
m. Submit a bi-weekly work log to include the amount of time the Vendor has allocated to
each of their assigned tasks and project during the reporting period.
n. The Vendor shall submit a monthly Invoice.
o. Vendor shall keep organized files of all record documents for invoicing to make available
upon request.

Compensation and Term

This opportunity is for a part-time, 4 month contract position with possible extension not to exceed 12 months. Pay varies with experience up to $60/hour or equivalent of $124,800 per year. Medical, dental, vision and life insurance available after 30 days of hire.

Contractor is expected to work remote and will require occasional travel (10%) during the contract term.

Qualifications you need

A successful Technical Training Consultant possesses or provides the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, Certified in Prosci or similar methodology preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with state government agency, primarily DCF and Law Enforcement
