Beech Brook, one of Northeast Ohio’s premier mental health agencies, is hiring a LSW/LPC level therapists for our School-Based Behavioral Health Program. This position will provide individual and family focused therapy to children and adolescents with mental health conditions in a school-based, home, and community settings. The candidate should be familiar with trauma-informed care, as well as have familiarity with diagnoses including: Depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, Bipolar Disorder and PTSD. - $4,000 Sign On/Retention Bonus for Full-time employees (Pro-rated for past employees)

- Lorain County job location available.
- Full-time or Part-time, Year-round position

Education and Licensure:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, MFT or similar
Essential Responsibilities (others may be assigned):
- Conduct thorough psychiatric diagnostic evaluations, including diagnoses, treatment planning and linkage, as needed to appropriate internal and external services, for referrals at assigned school(s)
- Develop client focused treatment plans and monitor for progress
- Provide therapy and other behavioral health services to at risk children and adolescents with mental health diagnoses
- Complete daily progress notes and other Medicaid documentation within proper timeframes
- Develop effective relationships to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Partner with both internal and external treatment providers in implementing and evaluating the treatment plan
Qualifications:
- Desire to work with at-risk youth and families
- Skilled in using computer software applications such as Microsoft Office, and must have established internet access
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Must have a valid OH driver’s license with no more than 5 points
- Must value diversity and inclusion
Clinical Competencies:
- Supportive of collaborative partnerships with assigned school(s) through consultation.
- The ability to engage clients and their families in meaningful intervention strategies, approaches and models, including but not limited to trauma-informed care.
- The ability to assess clinical safety (e.g. SAFE-T Protocol with C-SSRS; HB71, safety plans, etc.) and to execute safety planning to lower risk.
