Work Environment: Remote, have residency in California and be able to travel to office in San Francisco, CA a few times a year.
Term (approximate): February 2023 – December 2023; 40 hours/week

The Fellow will support the Ten Strands Partnership Team in developing and implementing technical assistance and network activation services for a number of core initiatives, e.g., the California Environmental Literacy Initiative and the National Outdoor Learning Initiative. Ten Strands’ vision for the integration of environmental and climate literacy, and sustainable and climate resilient schools action, into K-12 education is that it takes place across the whole system (campus, curriculum, community, and overall culture). This type of change tends to take place across different developmental phases - establishing buy-in, assessing the current status, strategic planning, implementation, and continuous improvement - therefore, Ten Strands has designed technical assistance services that can support institutions as a whole, or individuals within the institution that are leading change across those phases.
Essential duties for this position include supporting Ten Strands Partnership Team by providing direct technical assistance services to county offices of education, districts, and schools utilizing the following approaches:

• Consultative services and coaching
• Networking - Specifically, we aim to activate the network of people and resources that Ten Strands is most closely connected to through our involvement in a number of large-scale initiatives
• Training and professional learning offerings
• Assessment and strategic planning
• Project Management

Activities to support these efforts include resource curation and development, event coordination, ongoing meetings and correspondence with constituents, school site walks and report writing, data management, presentations, research and synthesis, communications support, and other duties related to supporting the Ten Strands Partnership team.
