Job Purpose or Objective(s): As a Special Services Advocare for Family Violence, you will provide advocacy and support services for domestic violence, stalking and sexual assault victims. You will report to the Departmental Manager or Director.
| Start Rate: $13.18 hourly | Temporary | Part Time | Schedule: variable | Shift: variable |
Primary Tasks:
You will answer telephone crisis line; provide crisis intervention, information, and referrals.
Complete assessment/intake; provide crisis intervention, advocacy, and court advocacy.
Provide transportation to community agencies and shelters in other communities.
Maintain accurate records and files.
Promote community awareness through education and public speaking.
Respond as a trained sexual assault advocate of the Sexual Assault Response Team.
Coordinate with local district attorney’s office, law enforcement and Choctaw Nation as a member of the Coordinated Community Response Team.
Perform other tasks relating to the operation of the agency or shelter; pick up donations, help clean at the shelter or public office, taking messages, running errands.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or the equivalent
Some Knowledge in domestic violence
Willing to travel and work a flex schedule
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
