Job Description

This is an excellent position for someone looking to break into the tech field or for an experienced technician looking to join a small, fast-growing company. As a small business, our top priority is finding the right person, not just another employee. This job is based in Charlotte, NC.

We're seeking a technically minded problem solver to help support our hardware team. As part of the broader technical support team, hardware technicians are responsible for the following:

• Configure hardware bundles for our retail point of sale system
• Assist customers diagnosis and troubleshoot defective hardware
• Conduct warranty repairs and coordinate with manufacturers to assist with warranty claims
• Program pinpads and other payment devices
• Support software technicians as they help our customers

Further, hardware technicians assist with research, development, and implementation of new point of sale software and hardware:

• Create documentation and guides for software and hardware
• Develop training curricula for new software
• Identify and report major IT trends

Our Ideal Candidate

• Must enjoy working with people and technology
• We look for self learners that don't need their hand held when learning new software or hardware
• Must care about the job and take pride in your work. We're a small company and every role is incredibly important to our overall operation.
• POS experience is not required, but obviously it's a plus
• Wants to work for a small business and grow with the company
• Likes the idea of Beer Friday - or at least likes the idea of hanging out during Beer Friday

Desired Skills

• Basic networking knowledge
• Comfort with Windows operating system
• Ability to dig into new software and hardware and easily pick it up
• Problem solver who can analyze a situation and quickly move towards resolution
• Degrees, certifications, and experience are all preferred, but not required

• 11 am - 8:30 pm

Salary

• $20-25 per hour
