The Technical Product Manager helps execute product development, align specifications to customer needs, ensure equipment functionality and ultimately is responsible for the products’ successes and failures in the field. It is responsible to help define and communicate the products’ life cycle strategy to relevant teams such as engineering and sales, while setting priorities based on market research and other factors.

The role has heavy interaction across functional departments.

The role requires flexible travel (up to 50%) to participate in tradeshows/conferences, to customer locations to maintain good relationships & support sales, provide process support/guidance during line acceptance trials, line commissioning, and any processing/product challenges that require onsite support.

Critical Activities:

• Lead the development of new product tech and features to help drive business strategies.
• Define and drive the overall technology strategy based on a holistic understanding of the industry landscape, market dynamics and competitive environment.
• Establish and grow product line technology aligned with other product offerings and strategic customers.
• Leverage company’s exceptional technology platform to support market share expansion through innovation and product solutions.
• Study competitors services and products
• Differentiate the company as the preferred supplier in our market and for our customers via product capability.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Technical knowledge and experience, preferably within capital equipment or end product areas.
• Data driven, quick decision making in short times while managing multiple involved stakeholders.
• Direct experience working on product solutions in a global matrixed organization.
• Ability to achieve goals by influencing and inspiring others.
• Engineering or technical degree preferred along with a career progression showing increasing responsibility.
• Proven ability to interact / influence key decision makers within customer’s organization.
• Well-developed presentation, planning, and technical writing skills.
• International, hands-on project experience working with multi-national customers.

Education

Bachelors or better in Engineering or related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
