Primary Objective: Technical line owner, directly responsible for maintaining press manufacturing line reliability and readiness, utilizing best manufacturing and engineering practices.

Major Functions And Scope

• Ensures compliance with all company safety rules and procedures.
• Responsible for technical uptime of assigned manufacturing line.
• Maximizes equipment availability using planned maintenance activities, improvement projects, and upgrades.
• Provides hands on training and mentoring within the maintenance team.
• Works directly with operations and technical team to prioritize and improve TPM processes.
• Plans/Schedules/Coordinates, and documents routine TPM events for department assigned equipment.
• Sustains/Returns equipment to designed capabilities through planned maintenance.
• Maintains required critical spare parts, inventory accuracy, and 5S efforts.
• Provides equipment troubleshooting support and assists in developing standards for maintenance procedures and processes.
• Utilizes a CMMS (SAP, or similar) to track, predict, prevent, and plan maintenance activities, such as TPM, work orders, routine checks, and inspections.
• Ensures that information is clearly communicated and understood by all parties, prior to execution of tasks. Follows up on open points promptly.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Knowledge, Experience, Competencies And Supervision

• Formal training and practical experience in an industrial manufacturing setting as an Electro-Mechanical Technician, Engineering Technician or Automation Technician

Experience

• 3 years’ experience in an automated manufacturing environment
• 1 years’ PLC troubleshooting or programming
• 1 years – Working in a maintenance role utilizing fabrication, mechanical, and electrical crafts
• 1 years’ experience leading projects or direct supervisory experience

• Technology and automation minded, with a strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, motors, AC/DC Electricity, gearboxes, robotics and tools.
• Apply working knowledge to implement and improve TPM methods for efficiency improvements
• Able to work with minimal supervision on various projects from conception to completion
• Ability to interpret and produce technical reports, electrical drawings and schematics
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high demand environment when equipment is down
• Proven capability of hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing machinery and components.
• LOTO authorized, strong hands-on diagnostic ability, and appropriate safe use of specialty and common hand tools
• Must be able to provide technical assistance outside of normal business hours
• Capable of working all hours/shifts/roles as needed to accommodate projects, TPM activities, training, or other urgent business needs
