Help guests visiting our Tasting Room end their experience by assisting them in finding unique items and wines to take home from our Specialty Store located within our Grand Hall. Our Specialty Store is seeking a Retail Manager to oversee day to day functions as well as perform administrative duties including maintaining merchandise inventory for both the shop and ecommerce items to meet guests needs while driving revenue.

Position Title: Retail Manager
Location: Trump Winery in Charlottesville, VA 22902- 15 minutes south of Charlottesville city limits

Hours: Full-Time - on site. Typical Hours Thursday – Monday 9am – 6pm Weekend/holiday availability needed

Wage: $50,000 -$55,000/annually

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Administrative functions of the department to include ordering and receiving, signing off on invoices, running reports, conduct and reconcile monthly inventory
• Support, train, and develop all retail shop staff according to policies and guidelines
• Ensure merchandising of the retail shop is appealing and set to maximize revenue; ensure appropriate merchandise mix and inventory levels; organize and execute special promotions; ensure merchandising standards and all visual displays are consistent with brand
• Develop the merchandising philosophy and annual buying plan and implement strategies to react to sales trends through the season
• Assist guests with purchases of merchandise including; cash handling, refunds, exchanges, employee discounts, promotions, credit card purchases, daily shift deposits as well as authorizing markdowns, transfers and special promotions.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years’ experience and 2+ years supervisory experience in a retail sales environment
• Strong technology skills using Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and POS systems
• Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
• Ability to lift, push and pull 50 pounds, stand on feet for 8+ hours
• Develop and seek out creative and innovative ideas
• Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities and multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment
