The Specialist, Talent Acquisition supports the company’s corporate recruiting objectives by guiding assigned requisitions through the full recruitment life cycle, including sourcing, screening, selection, and offer negotiation. This role is a member of the organization’s HR team and works closely with the HR Business Partners, Compensation & Total Rewards, HR Solutions, Learning & Development, and Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion to support a cohesive and collaborative partnership with Brother employees. In addition to directly supporting recruitment efforts, this position is also tasked with proactively seeking out and engaging strategic passive talent leads to grow the candidate pipeline.

Brother’s Talent Acquisition team prioritizes forward momentum of open requisitions, investment in top-of-funnel pipeline activity, over-communication and transparency with internal and external stakeholders, and the provision of an excellent candidate experience and hiring experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Full Lifecycle Corporate Recruiting (“Talent Acquisition”)

  • Serve as primary recruiter for assigned requisitions, supporting full recruiting lifecycle from open to close
  • Full lifecycle recruitment will include requisition posting, hiring team intake meeting, sourcing, screening, facilitating the candidate interview experience, interview team debrief, selection, offer crafting and negotiation, requisition closing, and candidate dispositions.
  • Sourcing will entail organic applicant traffic as well as proactive outbound sourcing on a variety of channels. A strong professional networking social presence and comfort balancing engagement through multiple platforms is expected.

Customer Experience Strategy & Execution

  • Identify opportunities in the customer experience through journey mapping, feedback solicitation, and continuous improvement efforts (emphasis on problem identification and solution-based action)
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and voice-of-customer for the candidate customer group, especially external candidates, identifying and partnering on solutions to enhance their experience with Talent Acquisition.

Pipeline Health Strategy & Execution

  • Use our ATS, CRM, and sourcing platforms toward the strategic proactive investment in our pipeline and bench strength
  • Identify passive “talent leads” that serve as culture adds and compensation/experience/skill matches and add them to our pipeline via our CRM as the primary system of record
  • Prioritize core job categories and functions, skills and experience that align to hard-to-fill or frequently filled positions using historic data as well as strategic talent strategies as available

Administration & Reporting

  • Attend and actively participate in all HR and Talent Acquisition team routine and ad hoc meetings
  • Report out on all assigned job requisitions including routine updates to the hiring team and HR Business Partner team

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in the fields of Business, Human Resources, or a related field

Experience

  • 3+ years of full life cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, selection, and offer negotiation, carrying a requisition load of varied levels and job categories, in a high-touch customer-centric work setting
  • 2+ years of corporate recruiting, in-house for an organization’s Human Resources department
  • 2+ years of relevant recruiting experience in marketing, sales, IT, manufacturing, accounting, finance, supply chain, and customer support (PREFERRED)

Software/Technical Skills

  • LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed Resume, social media recruiting, Boolean search
  • Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and/or Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to demonstrate a marketing mindset to present an attractive job opportunity for each open requisition, in partnership with the HR Business Partner and hiring teams
  • Ability to conduct excellent discovery or intake meetings and uncover significant insights from client groups
  • Knowledge of current industry trends and best practices for screening and interviewing, including conducting a behavioral/situational interview experience
  • Ability to identify and build a terrific customer experience
  • Ability to guide selection decisions through strategy, empathy, persuasion, and reason
  • Ability to partner with Compensation and HR Business Partner teams to create and present attractive offer packages; negotiation and closing techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including close attention to detail and active listening

This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.
