Job Title: Head Swim Coach
Compensation Range: $25 per hour

Position Summary
Enforce pool rules and ensure the safety of residents and guests in the pool and pool area.
Practice begins Tuesday, May 30th!
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the practice outline for the Val Vista Lakes Sailfish Swim Team program
- Supervise and direct Assistant Coaches and Jr. Assistant Coaches
- Offer a high level of attention and encouragement to registered participants of theprogram
- Remain professional and composed when dealing with parents and other team Coaches
- Develop a program to teach and improve swimmer's technique and form of the various swim strokes and kicks
- Be a role model Assistant and Jr. Assistant Coaches
- Give direction and or assist in set-up and clean-up of daily practices
- Assist in set-up and clean-up of swim meets
- Always exhibit safe practices at the pool
- Always arrive to swim practice and swim meets prepared (sunscreen, hats, water
bottles) - Adhere to the policies and procedures in alliance with the Rules & Regulations
- Ensure the health, safety and welfare of coaches and program participants
- Greet parents and swim team participants

What we are looking for
- Demonstrate effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
- Work well with a team and fosters a healthy and safe work environment
- Able to operate basic office equipment, e.g., computer terminals, printers, copy
machines, telephone systems, facsimile machines - Work a flexible schedule including days, evenings and weekend
Education and Experience
- Previous swim coach experience preferred
- Knowledge of competitive swim strokes and kicks
- CPR Certified
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to lift, carry, and/ or pull up to 45 lbs
- Able to climb several flights of stairs if necessary
- Able to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or painting, with correctivelenses if needed
- Able to interact with all types of individuals, be mentally alert, detail oriented, and maintain good reasoning skills
