This position will support the IRST depot team in troubleshooting, evaluating, and repairing customer fielded hardware at the in-plant depot(s). The role includes coordinating depot activities with a multitude of programs and customers, including assisting in developing bids and estimates to support current and new business initiatives. Applicant should have experience in reworking complex mechanical and/or optical systems and be able to interface effectively with multiple functional groups to achieve completion of depot operation activities. The ability to design, develop, and implement testing and rework procedures to expedite the delivery of repairs is vital to the success of the depot. Should be capable of interpreting engineering drawings and Manufacturing Process Plans to ascertain build levels, rework requirements, and test equipment needed for testing and evaluating all levels of IRST depot repairs.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Ability to understand schematics, generate rework instructions, and to diagnose faults and troubleshoot hardware.
  • Ability to perform electrical measurements and analysis using a variety of tools, measurement, and test equipment (Multimeters, Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzers).
  • Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Power Point, and Excel.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with troubleshooting Electro-Optic equipment such as Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) sensors, and electro-mechanical hardware.
  • Familiarity with depot level maintenance procedures and repair methods.
  • Experience with designing and maintaining tooling, test, and support equipment.
  • Experience repairing high complexity mechanical systems using only Engineering aids
  • Prior military experience with Navy/USAF and understanding of rework & repair practices

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
