Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs the scrub role as a member of the Perioperative team. Assists the surgeon at the sterile field and the registered nurse during the surgical procedure.

• Functions as a member of a specialty team
• Ability to work cooperatively with the surgical team
• As a technician II, Demonstrates competency in the practice of advanced level case assignment and advanced level equipment
• Acts as resource person for others in the department and actively participates in the preceptor role in the training of new personnel
• Helps coordinate special instrument needs between SPD and the OR for each specialty

What qualifications you will need:

• Certification as surgical technician
• Current BCLS
• Completion of a surgical technician program.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a surgical technician, in an acute care facility preferred

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved)
