CLASSIFICATION: SUPPORT EXEMPT

JOB TITLE: SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL PATHWAYS COORDINATOR

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES PROFESSIONAL PATHWAYS

CALENDAR: TWELVE MONTHS

RANGE: $73,415 - $101,824


Job Goal

The professional pathways coordinator is a content expert, content creator, and professional development instructor. The professional pathways coordinator is flexible and adaptable with a high degree of organization, facilitation, and management.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Demonstrated successful experience, preferably in a school environment
  • Knowledge of District needs pertaining to on the job training and professional development
  • Ability to analyze data
  • Working knowledge of adult learning principles to support strong team coaching and facilitation skills
  • Ability to prepare clearly written summaries and analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively interpersonally and in group presentations
  • Self-directed and results oriented
  • Ability to simultaneously plan for the long term and meet short term goals

Core Job Functions

  • Utilize content and training expertise to develop and lead professional development to achieve goals of the District strategic plan goals
  • Keep abreast of and interpret current research, professional development, and on the job training strategies
  • Facilitate program development
  • Develop and instruct professional development classes based on employee needs, site, and district goals
  • Use innovative practices to effectively create multiple opportunities for collaboration and extended levels of support
  • Maintain a variety of manual and electronic files and/or records
  • Research a variety of information on courses, materials, training consultants, to support the development of new programs aligned to our District goals, initiatives and plans
  • Track and summarize data related to internal and external Professional Development
  • Streamline communication around Professional Development opportunities and events
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to organize Professional Development workshops for support staff
  • Coach and inspire employees to accomplish goals and related tasks
  • Create clear and effective pathways for employee growth
  • Provide an atmosphere in which personnel employed by the District may excel in their area of expertise, realize their full potential, consider themselves a member of the District team
