Menzner Hardwoods Co. has an opening for First and Second Shift Supervisors. Specific duties include reviewing production schedules and assigning appropriate work to all department personnel. Directs and coordinates the production related activities occurring on first shift and second shift. Establishes work priorities for first shift and second shift in order to meet production schedules. Works with both shifts to meet order requirements in an efficient and safe manner. Coordinates the assignment and rotation of employees. Reviews and approves requests for time off, ensuring that sufficient employees are available to complete orders. Reviews machine set ups and work in progress to ensure compliance with quality standards. Seeks, recommends, and implements methods to improve quality or productivity or reduce costs. Completes all required paperwork for orders, inventory, etc. Ensures that all employees are properly trained. Promotes safety and strives to improve safety performance. Enforces safety rules. Investigates accidents and works with Safety Coordinator to complete all required incident and accident report forms. Performs other duties as directed by Production Manager.

Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years successful prior supervisory experience in a production/manufacturing setting. Must be physically capable of lifting / maneuvering up to 30 lbs. regularly, be capable of standing for 8 hours / shift. Involves significant standing and walking.

First Shift Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday. Overtime hours required as needs arise, which typically involve working 9 hour shifts Monday - Friday and a 6 hour shift on Saturdays.

Second Shift Hours: 2:30pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday. Overtime hours required as needs arise, which typically involve working 9 hour shifts Monday - Friday and a 6 hour shift on Saturdays.

Pay is based on experience.
