We are currently looking for teachers to help in following age groups

• Infant I (6weeks - 1 year)
• Infant II (12 months - 18 months)
• Toddler I (18 months - 2 years)
• Toddler II (2 years - 2.5 years)
• Get Set (2.5 years - 3 years and not potty trained)
• Preschool II / Jr. PreK (Older 3 and 4 years)
• Float (6 weeks - 5 years). This staff member will help in all classrooms and must be comfortable with all age groups. Great starting point to learn the field and different ages / stages.

The Goddard School, located in Independence, a preschool/childcare/daycare center, is currently seeking loving, fun, energetic, classroom teachers to join our teaching team! Our teachers care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years in a safe and nurturing environment. Our teachers create an exciting classroom experience for the children through meaningful activities and interactions. Multi-tasking, patience, kindness, and a basic knowledge and understanding of early childhood development are all MUSTS for this position!

We’d love experience with teaching in a classroom/childcare center/daycare center, but we’re also happy to help a great candidate just entering this field. Our teachers come from many different backgrounds and all we ask is that you bring a great attitude and a willingness to learn. Our current team is excited to train new teachers ready to tackle the busyness of the classrooms!

Candidates will be selected based on their ability to engage children in a safe, nurturing and loving manner, as well as effectively communicate with co-teachers and families. Our teachers create engaging learning environments filled with opportunities for children to explore, discover, and create with their teachers right by their sides guiding their learning process! We will provide a comprehensive training program.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age with the minimum of a high school degree
• Must be a team player with a positive work ethic
• Must have reliable transportation to our school
