Overview:

Haig Point Club is a private golf community located on Daufuskie Island, SC and is just over one nautical mile from Hilton Head Island. Surrounded by beauty and tranquility at every turn, Haig Point Club is accessible only by boat and all members, guests and employees enjoy travel by ferry to this exclusive bridgeless island.

Recognized in 2019, 2020, & 2021 by Best Companies Group and the SC Chamber of Commerce as “Best Places To Work in South Carolina” Haig Point Club is looking for an energetic and dynamic individual to lead its Summer Camp Program.

Camp Dates:

• June 26th – July 21, 2023 - 4 Weeks
• 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Summary:

Responsible for supervising children while conducting educational, cultural and recreational activities. Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities:

• Supervises and interacts appropriately with all children.
• Provides a safe, friendly and nurturing environment for participants.
• Plans and participates in all scheduled activities including, but not limited to sports, games, crafts, etc.
• Enforces safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Assists with housekeeping tasks as necessary and appropriate.
• Maintains a positive and cheerful attitude with parents, children and staff.
• Coordinates with department managers and staff to plan activities.
• Maintains solid customer relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed and professionalism.
• Complies with departmental uniform and grooming standards.
• Works effectively as a team with all departmental employees.
• Complies with departmental and Club policies and procedures.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Requirements:

• Must have valid CPR/AED certification or be able to acquire within 30 days.
• Must be certified in First Aid or able to acquire within 30 days.

Critical Skills:

• Outstanding ability to handle children.
• Excellent communication abilities are essential.
• Must be a creative, friendly, fun, outgoing, and a responsible role model who enjoys working with children.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
• Must be able to use tact and understanding when dealing with a variety of customer service problems, including stressful and highly emotional situations. Must be able to interact in a respectful and appropriate manner with youth for entire work day.
• Must be highly organized and able to handle multiple tasks and to deploy resources effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Hilton Head Island, SC 29928: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
