Responsibilities:

  • Perform field condition assessments and structural surveys
  • Analysis of external forces on buildings and non-building structures
  • Analyze and design building and non-building structures
  • Think, problem solve and prepare solutions for unique construction engineering challenges
  • Prepare and document technical reports
  • Prepare complete and accurate construction documents
  • Prepare calculations packages and finite element models
  • Perform construction administration servicesShop Drawing Reviews (Responding to RFIs, Field visits)
  • Review of inspection and testing reports Calculate costs and time schedules for your projects
  • Monitor project design and budget progress
  • Research and prepare internal presentations on: New building systems, software, code provisions, etc…
  • Attend technical seminars
  • Positively contribute to company culture and design methodologies
  • Help support, mold and grow our company vision

Qualifications:

Beyond seeking a detail oriented, driven and forward-thinking candidate, the ideal candidate shall have:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in civil/architectural/structural Engineering
  • 1 to 3 years of experience with building structural design and engineering
  • EIT certificate and plans to sit for PE/SE licensure
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, supporting the success of both colleagues and clients
  • Goal-oriented with a desire to grow
  • Conversant in engineering, architectural, and construction principles
  • Knowledge of Excel, Revit, and analysis and design programs (we can help you!)
  • Experience with Revit is highly preferred, including modeling, detailing, and the preparation of drawings
