If so, join us as we implement our new start-up program to revolutionize Treatment Foster Care in the state of Illinois under our Project Reach initiative! To assist us in achieving our mission, we are currently seeking a Staff Therapist in our Rockford, Illinois office.

This is a Full-Time position that will be part of Our Children’s Homestead Clinical Division and will report to the Clinical Director. Compensation for this position will be $45,000-$50,000 annually and will be determined by educational credentials as well as experience.

This position will provide a sign-on bonus of $3,000. Sign-on bonus will be distributed to person selected for this position after 6 months of successful employment with the agency.

Summary:

The Therapist is committed to helping our youth build a strong, stable foundation of support and develop opportunities that enable them to discover and sustain a positive life. The Therapist is a collaborative member of the Treatment Family Care (TFC) team who will be capable of motivating youth, their families, and foster parents to engage in the therapeutic process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assess and evaluate mental health needs as outlined by Medicaid and complete mental health assessment and coordinating treatment plan using the Integrated Assessment and Treatment Planning process.

· Provide individual and family therapy to assigned caseload of youth and their biological and foster families in order to promote positive cognitive, behavioral or psychological changes as identified in the treatment plan, i.e., weekly, 2x/weekly, and in accordance with the permanency plan.

· Provide crisis intervention to youth and families and psycho-education regarding specific clinical needs of youth.

· Assist in placement stabilization by assessing barriers and developing stabilization plans as needed to support youth and foster family.

· Document all services rendered and any significant interactions using Medicaid and TFC guidelines and submit to supervisor in required time frames.

· Participate in decision-making related to youth’s care and treatment by attending internal and external clinical staffings and advocating for clients’ emotional and physical well-being.

· Communicate pertinent events/aspects of a youth’s case with all team members on an ongoing basis.

· Supervise visitation when therapeutic intervention is needed.

· Participate in individual and group supervision on a monthly basis.

· Commit to providing evidence-based, trauma-informed services by attending and utilizing trainings on relevant and approved treatment modalities.

· Participate in Utilization Review monthly.

· Collaborate with other clinical staff on the development and presentation of trainings for staff and foster parents based on relevant psychological topics.

· Adhere to Code of Ethics for Child Welfare Professionals, as well as ethical standards designated by any other ethical code one is professionally obligated to, e.g, ACA Code of Ethics, NASW Code of Ethics.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Successfully completed a practicum and/or internship which includes a minimum of 1,000 hours or who have one year of experience under the direct supervision of a therapist who has a LCSW, or LCPC or a licensed Psychologist. Staff providing Medicaid Mental Health Services under 59 Administrative Code, Part 132 Medicaid Mental Health Services Program (Rule 132) shall meet all qualifications as required by Rule 132.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS (Includes degrees, licenses and/or registrations)

Master’s Degree in counseling or related field

LICENSE AND OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

Proof of current vehicle registration, driver’s license and vehicle insurance are required at all times throughout employment.

With fines for employers not adhering to the mandate being $14,000 per incident/occurrence, Our Children’s Homestead will adhere to this mandate.

Employees of Our Children’s Homestead who are authorized to transport clients in the performance of their job duties will be reimbursed $0.60 per mile for all authorized travel at the rate established by OCH.
