Nursing Educator (RN) Opportunity

Pembroke Hospital is a 120-bed acute care, inpatient behavioral health facility located south of Boston, in Pembroke, MA. Situated on 26 acres, we offer inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment to teens, adults and older adults, and our services are designed to assess, stabilize, and treat patients by addressing their primary symptoms and problems. The Nurse Educator is a full time, professional nurse position, providing discipline-focused orientation for nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assesses the education needs of clinical staff to ensure that they are competent to provide direct patient care
• Provide leadership to the nursing staff in the nursing care delivery system in accordance with Pembroke Hospital’s philosophy and established nursing standards of practice of care and policies and procedures
• Provide infection control orientation for hospital staff
• Provide leadership and consultation to staff to monitor infection control procedures in accordance with Hospital’s policies
• Identify the occurrence of outbreaks or clusters of infectious diseases; monitors nosocomial infections and antibiotic usage

Requirements

• ADN or BSN in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing
• MA RN License
• Two or more years of related experience preferred
• CPR Certified
• Specialized training in infection control to be completed within one year of obtaining position
