GovHR USA is pleased to announce the recruitment and selection process for a Staff Attorney for PACE Bus in Arlington Heights, IL.

Under the direction of the General Counsel, provides in-house transactional legal services to Pace. Drafts, negotiates, reviews, and revises contracts, agreements, and policies; conducts legal research and writes legal memoranda; handles real estate matters, including closings; and performs other duties as assigned or required.

The successful candidate’s education and experience will include the following:

Bachelor's and a Juris Doctor degree.
Licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. Admission to the Illinois State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois is preferred.
A minimum of three years’ experience practicing in contract and real estate law. Previous experience defending mechanics lien cases in court is preferred.
Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of contract and real estate law and can draft contracts and policies.
Excellent reading comprehension, research, and verbal and written communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
A highly organized, detail oriented, and resourceful team player. Able to successfully and efficiently work on numerous projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
A highly skilled negotiator who demonstrates strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and must demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
Position is subject to the provisions set forth in 5 ILCS 430/5-45 (c) of the State Officials and Employee Ethics Act.
Travel to Cook and its collar counties is required.
