Intermountain Electronics, Inc . is seeking a Staff Accountant at our Price, UT facility. IE is a leading provider of custom engineered and manufactured process and electrical systems to the mining, oil & gas, and power/utility industries in North America.

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for daily and monthly reconciliations and coordinating and assisting with month-end responsibilities. This position will also assist the Controller as needed using GAAP principles of accounting to ensure compliance and accuracy of all financial activities.

Major duties may include :

  • Process payments /disbursements
  • Reconcile general ledger of key accounts, bank statements, and petty cash accounts for remote sites
  • Maintain fixed asset schedule and reconcile/update changes as they occur
  • Process employee reimbursements, receipts, and expense reports
  • Log manual journal entries; assist in monthly book closings
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger of key accounts, credit card statements, etc.
  • Process new vendor/customer set up
  • Process payroll and sales tax • Assist with AR collections as needed
  • Assist in monthly close procedures; Generate reports
  • Assist in the preparation of schedules for annual audit; interact with internal and external auditors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited educational institution plus one to two years directly related experience including GAAP experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in understanding & applying financial reporting with the required statements and supporting ledgers
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and cost accounting, particularly in a manufacturing environment
  • 10-Key by touch; Proficiency in spreadsheet and computerized accounting applications
  • Positive attitude, professionalism, and integrity
  • Self-initiative, ability to problem-solve and prioritize work
  • Strong analytical & math skills
  • Excellent computer skills (EPICOR, MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Strong organizational skills
