POSITION: Staff Accountant
BUSINESS UNIT: Financial Reporting Group
OFFICE LOCATION: 1312 Oakridge Drive, Albany, Georgia
COMPANY BACKGROUD: F&W Forestry Services, Inc is an international forestry
consulting firm established in Albany, GA in 1962. Today the company has a staff of
more than 200 professionals serving a variety of clients with operations located across
the US, UK and South America. In addition to forest operation management, F&W is
recognized as a leader in providing back-office support services for mid to large sized
timberland owners and investors. F&W’s Financial Reporting Group (FRG) provides a
variety of Client support services, including accounts payable, accounts receivable,
financial and management reporting, audit assistance and periodic property valuation
support.
CANDIDATE PROFILE: F&W is seeking a highly motivated professional who works well
in a team environment, who is comfortable communicating in professional settings
(peers, clients, auditors, etc.), has applied problem solving skills and well developed
project management abilities (i.e., meet deadlines, client requirements, etc.).
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Process accounts payable
Process accounts receivables
Prepare and maintain accrual schedules
Maintain fixed asset schedule and prepaid records
Prepare periodic financial statements and reporting packages
Assist with annual budget process
Assist with annual audits
Prepare and file annual 1099s in accordance with laws and reporting deadlines
Maintain accounting work papers and supporting analysis for all tasks performed
Analyze information by developing reports
Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field (preferred),
Minimum of one year of office/accounting experience
Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel (pivot tables,
vlookup), as well as other Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams,
SharePoint)
Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate complex information effectively to a
variety of audiences
Highly detail-oriented
A team player that is willing to take leadership role
Strong work ethic, able to work independently and take initiative
Able to adapt to changing priorities in fast paced environment
Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to
deadlines
Able to work under periods of high stress to meet deadlines
A strong work ethic and willingness to work non-traditional (and sometimes
extended) work hours as required due to the firm's global business presence across
time-zones.
Sense of Sound - Can hear clients on telephone
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs
Experience with MS Dynamics SL, Excel- power query and/or Prospero is a plus

Salary commensurate with experience; minimum of $45,000/yr
