We’re currently hiring a Full-Time Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance, with internship or professional accounting experience, preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Performs general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and report, identify, and correct variations or errors with documentation and commentary
  • Support timely monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of all assigned general ledger accounts
  • Assists in providing schedules and commentary with respects to accounts results and variances
  • Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts, and perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and related internal reporting to management
  • Perform compliance related activities such as sales tax returns, property tax returns, etc.
  • Assists in preparation of workpapers and documentation for various audits and external reporting
  • Perform other special projects as assigned for Corporate Controller and CFO
Requirements:

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business accounting, or finance
  • Internship or professional accounting experience
  • Familiarity with accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently with strong attention to details, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Sage100 or similar accounting software familiarity a plus
  • Active pursuit of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
  • Knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles in the U.S.) a plus
  • Desire to continue to grow through continuing training
