Job description
Piper Life Sciences is seeking a Senior Scientist to join a cancer and immunology research company in the Rockville, MD area. This role greatly contributes to the research and development of life-changing therapeutic products!
Responsibilities of the Senior Scientist include:
- Operating, executing, and analyzing experiments utilizing multi-channel flow cytometers
- Executing immunological assays such as ELISA, binding and saturation assays, and cell-based assays including cytotoxicity and phagocytosis
- Performing rt-qPCR, isolating nucleic acids, extracting RNA, plans and conducts bioassays
- Ensures lab equipment is properly calibrated and performs quality checks to maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment
- Assists with organization of inventory and ordering raw materials and reagents as needed
Qualifications of the Senior Scientist include:
- 2+ years of industry experience working directly with cancer immunology research
- PhD in Oncology, Immunology, or related degree is required
- Experience operating multi-channel flow cytometer is required
Compensation for the Senior Scientist includes:
- Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience
