How You'll Perform the Role


Position Summary: The Sr. Manager for Scheduling and Inventory is responsible for managing the scheduling teams of Shields and Spec Lam and the execution of inventory across the network.

  • Manage a team of schedulers and drive process improvements and standardization.
  • Assist with SAP-PPDS expansion and work with the team to optimize configurations to provide a scheduling result that suits each facility
  • Create and communicate rolling 3-month production plans (SFG/FG/Intercompany) to the operations teams.
  • Manage FG/SFG SLOB lists in Spec Lam by facilitating regular meetings with Sales and Operations to drive action plans to disposition inventory.
  • Manage FG materials in Yakima and other Shields sites which have aged 90+ days to stay below targets.
  • Work with Demand Planning to understand forecasts of stock materials and maintain safety stocks via Forecast X. Execute production of MTO and MTS through the scheduling team maintain both service and inventory at DOH targets.
  • Work with the scheduling teams to keep scheduling dates accurate and develop strong communication with Customer Service to keep the informed of unexpected changes.

What We Need From You
  • 10+ years of growing experience in a manufacturing environment, including 5+years in scheduling/planning experience in an MRP system.
  • SAP-PPDS experience/knowledge a plus, but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience with planning/schedule a network of sites, preferably managing a team across multiple sites.
  • Understanding of inventory strategies and managing DOH levels.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • 4-year B.S. degree.
