We are searching for a dynamic, and collaborative individual to join our team in the position of SR.HR Generalist. In this role you will assist with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources functions and duties. You will help support the Human Resources Manager and other department managers with HR related matters. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of trust, confidentiality, good judgment and collaboration.
What You’ll Do at Saputo
  • Communicate and demonstrate the company culture and foster positive employee relations. Lead change initiatives with a positive approach. Remain approachable and visible to employees and assist as needed. Use good listening skills, feedback tools, and follow-up to influence, coach, and assist others.
  • Responsible for the lifecycle of an employee, hire to retire.
  • Evaluate staffing needs to include full-time, temporary and summer help; conduct external recruitment for plant personnel. Assist with coordination and conducting of new hire orientation with support of plant supervision and management.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities, facilitate business processes and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Advise employees on company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws as well as company policies and procedures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or three (3) or more years of experience in human resources.
  • Payroll experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities, facilitate business processes and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
