POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manufacturing Excellence Sr Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional projects within and accross categories to drive manufacturing efficiencies and lowest total delivered cost while building field competence, through utilization of Nestle Continuous Excellence (NCE) / Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and methodologies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enable Business Category and factories to drive and execute the NCE Implementation Plan to improve and sustain the results by developing loss understanding, executing projects and developing NCE practices.
1- Leverage NCE toolkit to execute projects across NUSA sites (headquarters & factories) to drive sustainable operational and business improvements.
2- Promote and support factory reapplication of NCE best practices, standards and improvements across category/factories
3- Evaluate the health of systems, tools, and competence building to improve the loss understanding and results in a continuous and sustainable manner. Escalate functional support resource needs where applicable
4- Support the Factory ME Manager with adoption and integration of NCE Practices & digital solutions.
Support the Development of Business Category and Factory Performance Improvement Plans:
1- Facilitate the preparation and execution of various NCE improvement activities, including but not limited: to IPA Events, Loss Analysis, Project Scoping / Line Studies and Consumer & Customer Value Proposition (CCVP), Identify Business Opportunities (IBO), etc.
  • Ability to connect factory losses with aplicable/releveant NCE tools & other enablers (Digital, CAPEx, Etc.)
2- Support the Factory ME Manager/NCE Coach to leverage NCE to support the business needs and deliver the expected results.
3- Support the ongoing development of the Factory improvement plans by:
  • Evaluating maturity progression and identifying key opportunities together with the Factory ME Manager.
  • Coaching and supporting the development of Factory governance / routines to accelerate sustainable results.
Support the development of Critical Competence of Local Leadership Team by partnering with the NCE Coaches and Sr Category Managers on the following:
1- Build competency in NCE toolkit and core IP skills across all levels of the factory through on-site working sessions. Able to autonomously coach a factory on NCE Foundations (Goal Alignment and Focused Improvement) and has a working knowledge of Advanced NCE tools
  • Foundations tools include: Operational Reviews, Operational Master Planning, Measures Cascading, IPA, Loss Intelligence, Basic Problem Solving, etc.
  • IP competencies include: Labor utilization studies, data reliability, SAP BOM/Master Data, Planning Rate Reviews, Asset Intensity systems (DMO), St 21-908, Capacity Utilization, etc.)

TRAVEL:
Based on operational needs while supporting 4 factories

REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
Bachelors degree within technical or related field

EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience, food experience preferred, preferable acting as factory process/continuous improvement specialist
- Practical experience in leading and coaching NCE Practices (GA,TPM,Lean - 1-2 years)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience of project management, loss intelligence, & problem solving
  • Experience in cultural change management & managing multiple complex priorities with direct and indirect stakeholders
  • Experience in developing Line labor standards, Budget preparation/review, and line capability/speed studies
  • Minimum of 3 years working with Factory Management & Leadership team, with success in supporting & developing cross functional teams.


SKILLS:
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (TPM, six sigma)
  • Problem Solving capabilities, DMAIC, etc
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Basic understanding of Change Management
  • Basic understanding of Manufacturing Processes and Process Capability
  • Project Management competence
  • Understanding of Basic Finance & Value Creation
  • Knowledge of key data systems (SAP, DMO, etc.)
