Sports Ticketing Resale Acquisitions Buying Specialist

Salary - $30,000 - $60,000 a year

Job Type - Full-time

Work schedule is Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm and occasional weekend work

Our ticket buyers’ main responsibility is to score premium seats to sporting events. Fans want the best seats possible for the best market price so they use ticket broker sites to secure these premium seats. We allow fans to pick exactly where they want to sit. Most fans will pay extra to have good seats compared to upper level seats at cheaper prices.

A great thing about being a ticket buyer is people from all different backgrounds can be successful at it. Buyers have unique skill sets and possess different strengths and weaknesses. Having sales experience is a must, alongside great communication skills, a strong desire for growth and a great ability to adhere to guidelines.

This position requires extensive research and the ability to negotiate contracts with teams, manage an inventory, evaluate premium seats, and stick within a budget.

Full Job Description

This role requires coordinating with team members and management to establish acquisition goals and targets.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, efficient, professional, and courteous service to Customers, and Ticket Exchanges
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers regarding issues or discrepancies
• Field phone calls and emails from prospective ticket sellers and representatives from Ticket Exchanges
• Assist the fulfillment team as needed
• Detailing acquisitions in our POS system
• Maintain a vast understanding of sports, sports teams, and their standing
• Adopt a proactive mentality and ability to work independently
• Work in a fast-paced and ever changing environment
• Be a quick learner "HUSTLER" type
• Have strong communication skills because you will be working closely with other team members to analyze the ticketing marketplace and generate new ways to increase revenue and profit

B.S. in Sports Management is a plus

Position is 100% on-site in Sparks Glencoe, MD
