Applications are being accepted for a part-time Spirit Store Representative at Moraine Park Technical College, Fond du Lac Campus. This position works closely with the Auxiliary Services Manager to perform work activities for Spirit Store operations. This position performs day-to-day cashier operations, cash handling and store opening and closing procedures . This position reports to the Auxiliary Services Manager. Travel to other campus locations will be required.

Hiring range: $15.17-$17.85 hourly

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for store opening and closing duties to include verifying cashier daily balancing of drawers for accuracy while ensuring safe cash handling policies and procedures are followed including cash, checks, and credit/debit cards.
- Assists customers with purchases by assisting to find products and utilizing cash register to process payments and refunds.
- Assist with marketing the store including the in-store merchandise displays from the stockroom to the sales floor. Includes check-in and check-out of ship-to-campus textbooks/supplies orders from MPTC’s Online Bookstore provider eCampus.com
- Performs processes related to shipping, receiving, replenishment and scanning. Processes website orders including picking merchandise and shipping orders.
- Conduct store walk-throughs on a daily basis to ensure proper stock levels, inventory placement and customer service levels. Maintains neat and clean store and work areas.
- Routinely travel to other Moraine Park locations in Beaver Dam and West Bend to support additional Spirit Store operations.
- Assist the Auxiliary Services Manager with scheduling, coordinating and other duties related to events in the College’s conference center(s).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED) Certificate or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED) required.
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in retail, customer service or cashiering.
- Any combination of equivalent training and experience which provides desired knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Able to consistently walk and stand, able to lift 25-50 pounds. Ability to move merchandise using proper equipment.
- Ability to operate computerized accounts receivable/inventory system and cash register.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, students, vendors and the general public.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.
- Willingness to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and make decisions with minimum direction. Must demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize special projects with routine assignments.
- Possession of a valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
