Schedule: Hybrid, up to 29 hours a week between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday. Evenings and weekends as needed

Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY
The Specialist, NCRO (Non-Credit Registration Office) & Partnerships and Programs provides general administrative, clerical, project, and legal case management support for the department, division, or another area. This role utilizes basic or advanced office and research skills depending upon position assignment and skill level demands. The incumbent is typically assigned to work within a given department or division and therefore assumes responsibility for administrative, clerical, and support tasks specific to the assignment. The employee may be reassigned, however, as required to meet the College's staffing and workload needs and as skill level and experience increase. This position's essential role is to support the Non-Credit Registration Office (NCRO) and assist other divisions within the Partnerships and Programs arena.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Clerical
Performs various administrative, clerical, and recordkeeping functions such as entering instructor and participant information into appropriate databases, calculating and posting scores, registering students, retrieving course information, and entering data, logs, and documents. Maintains a record of office activity for reporting purposes. May provide day-to-day student support services using College systems and established processes/procedures for each functional area, including admissions, registration, and student accounts. Student support for this department may also include looking up account information, taking and posting payments, and ensuring appropriate forms are completed for student files. Maintains confidentiality of student records and other sensitive subject matter per FERPA requirements.

Customer Service
Provides a full range of support to students and the general public by responding to inquiries and requests for information and assistance in-person, via email, or by telephone. May assist non-credit students of diverse populations, including limited English speakers and at-risk students, with information, registration, and processing payments for course and testing fees. Interprets complex information, makes evaluative determinations, and recommends services, programs, and procedures to students, colleagues, and the public. As required, make recommendations to the area Program Coordinator concerning office operations, assigned workload, work schedule, updates to the relevant procedure manual(s), and other items.

Financial
Processes payments made by credit card, check, and money order. Completes and assists in making monetary deposits for NCRO.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing duties of this job, the employee regularly exhibits digital dexterity when entering data into a computer, frequently sits for extended periods of time, and occasionally stands and walks. The employee occasionally reaches with hands or arms and stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Employee converses verbally with others in person and by telephone. Vision demands include close, detailed vision when focusing on a computer screen. The employee occasionally lifts or exerts force up to 10 pounds.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience in a detail-focused role are required. An Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Accounting, Communications, or a related field is preferred.

State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
