We're currently seeking an energetic and independent Vocational Counselor to join our Charlottesville Team!

This particular position has been developed at a customer site and requires intensive training and prerequisite requirements including an extensive vaccination record.

The Vocational Counselor II is a more experienced profession who routinely works with other persons with disabilities. Under the guidance of a Senior Program Manager, they will work independently and interact professionally within the public domain, and will demonstrate belief in the principles of empowerment of persons diagnosed with Intellectual, Developmental or Physical Disabilities or additional special needs in seeking, obtaining and maintaining competitive employment that results in self-sufficiency and increased independence. They are ultimately responsible for the overall success of a Consumer's experience in obtaining suitable and interested employment. They will deliberately focus on the overall experience of our consumers, stimulate programmatic evaluation and enhancement, as well as maintain the employer partnerships that result in the employment of our consumers.

This position will require an in-depth MHS/PII examinations involving the use of Customer mandated Security Investigation. This position is located inside of a Mental Health Facility and discretion is an absolute mandate. This position will assist persons with disabilities on the job, in a unique job setting that is not typical. Therefore, special emphasis and consideration could be given to Candidates whom meet flexibility and training preferences.

REQUIRED CUSTOMER MANDATED VACCINATIONS:

• 
  MMR (measles, mumps, rubella): 2 shot series or positive titers
• Varicella Zoster (chickenpox): 2 shot series or positive titers
• Hepatitis B: 3 shot series or positive titers

• Document services provided and maintain consumer files according to quality standards.

Experience/Educational/Training Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, General Education, or History&Arts
• Or Associates Degree with 1 Year of relevant experience
• Or Highschool Diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant experience
• FirstAid/CPR (Upon Employment)
• Relias Training/Online Virtual Training (Training completed On-Site)
• Proficiency working with Workplace by Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and Asana
• General Education/Tutoring Experience (3Years)
• Valid Driver's License and Transportation w/proper insurance coverage
• Successful Drug Screen
• Successful Background Check (Federal, State, County)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
