Job Description

The Opportunity

The Special Populations Compliance and Quality Control Manager provides critical compliance support to ensure consistent and efficient compliance of local, state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities

The Special Populations Compliance and Quality Control Manager will:

• Provide weekly compliance updates to S3 leaders.
• Monitor and complete all State Performance Plan (SPP) indicators each school year.
• Align compliance systems and structures across all 4 KIPP Texas regions
• Collaborate with PEIMS team to ensure all coding is correct for students in special populations.
• Review all special populations paperwork for quality standards
• Set processes and procedures for compliance protocols across all four regions
• Lead all SHARS/Medicaid work

Qualifications

Education and Knowledge

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Office experience
• Understanding of special education PEIMS
• Understanding of eSPED
• Knowledge of special education state and federal laws and legislations

Skills

• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy required
• Excellent organizational skills required
• Strong work ethic coupled with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to work
• Articulate, professional demeanor with strong self-confidence and initiative
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the community
• Proven written and verbal communication skills
• Proven success in working in an environment characterized by changing priorities
• Strong typing skills are required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Proficiency using computers, printers, copy machines, and fax machines
