Hybrid Special Education Behavior Therapist Position

Seeking a talented and experienced special education behavior therapist who has experience in a special education setting working with adolescents with unique behavior and learning needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BA or BS in psychology, education, or a related field.
• Experience working with adolescents and adults on the Autism Spectrum.
• Experience managing difficult behaviors.
• Experience in a classroom setting.
• Crisis training, QBS/Safety Care training preferred.
• Experience working directly with parents and families.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean background check.

• Able to communicate effectively with others.
• Creative and fun personality.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Attending school with client daily.
• Safely manage behaviors that may arise.
• Facilitate social interactions.
• Provide educational support to client at school. This may include creating instructional modifications.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, direct supervisor, family, school, and other therapists and caretakers.
• Collect data during each session.
• Record data and notes into database.
• Ongoing learning new skill sets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
