Job Title: Spanish-Language Video Reports
Job Summary:

The goal of the WSFC (The Washington State Fruit Commission) in this project is to produce occasional high-quality, Spanish-language videos for the horticulture and viticulture industries, each 3 minutes to 6 minutes in length, depending on the scope and topic. These original videos will reside on the website of the WSFC’s magazine, the Good Fruit Grower, and will be both journalistic and educational in nature. The primary audience is Spanish-language growers and workers in the tree fruit (apples, pears, cherries, and other stone fruit), blueberry and grape industries in the Pacific Northwest, though the Good Fruit Grower reaches to all 50 states and some three-dozen countries. Some videos may need to be produced in both English and Spanish.

Working with Good Fruit Grower editors and other subject matter experts, the selected vendor(s) will produce videos on critical topics such as food safety, tractor safety, pesticide management, horticultural techniques, new technologies, and other farm management best practices. Examples of video content include subject matter expert interviews, demonstrations of proper horticultural or safety techniques, and equipment demonstrations. These interviews and demonstrations take place in Central Washington orchards, research sites and warehouses, therefore strong preference will be given to vendors located in Central Washington. Project Timeline

Estimated project start date is 2/10/23.

Estimated project completion date is 2/9/24, with an option to renew annually for two additional years upon agreement by both parties, provided the total expenditure (i.e. the aggregate spent under the contract) does not exceed WSFC’s contract limit.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience producing high-quality videos, both journalistic and educational in nature, relevant to this project.
• Experience producing videos ideal for hosting on a website and viewed with a variety of devices.
• English and Spanish fluency in the bidding company’s production team is required.
• Vendors must have equipment sufficient to produce quality videos, both indoors and outdoors, and in sometimes challenging conditions (i.e., loud warehouses or remote orchards in inclement weather). This includes up-to-date video recording and editing equipment, including lighting and sound-recording gear, and motion stabilizers.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team on concept and delivery of finished product.
• Absolute commitment to deadlines and excellence.
• Familiarity with and experience producing video content for central Washington’s agricultural industries and Spanish-speaking communities is preferred.
