Where the Chemistry Happens


As the US Soybean and Canola Operations Manager you will report to the US S&T Operations Manager and will be a member of the S&T leadership team. In this position, you will oversee operational activities that support the go-to-market strategy for the specific crop lines. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams including field sales, production, customer service, finance and regional solution teams as your develop and define the tactical steps required to effectively enable new systems and process roll outs, in-licensee trait management, supply-to-demand forecasting and product allocation.

    Manage the commercial seed supply to include field sales district/customer allocation, demonstration, agronomic and university trail product needs Collaborate cross functionally and represent the business perspective within the Production Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process Communicate accurate reporting to Business and Sales Leadership Teams to inform how business is trending throughout market year in order to react promptly to changes or challenges Lead field sales through the demand forecasting process Partner with Customer Service Team to ensure order and shipping processing is within or exceeds financial targets Manage forecasting, financial calculations, payment and point of sale (POS) reporting for in-licensed traits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations Oversee wholesale seed sales (in/out) process with external customers for commercial sale Collaborate with various cross functional teams to tackle problems or proactively improve performance and methods that align and enable improvement to the business

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

    Minimum 5 years prior operational experience (e.g.; demand planning, data analytics, sales, sales operations, project management) 5 years leading direct/indirect teams would be a plus Bachelor’s Degree preferable in Agribusiness, Business, Marketing Strong collaboration, communication, influencing and networking skills Exceptional organizational and time management skills Six Sigma , continuous improvement methodology knowledge (preferred)
