Responsibilities:
OVERVIEW:
Under the direction of the Associate Director Supply Chain Transformation, the Solution Product Owner is responsible for supporting the business as a Subject Matter Expert for their designated functional area (Demand, Supply, and/or Inventory Management) through the integration of a new end-to-end planning system inclusive of representing their functional area within daily agile sprints, process changes, and adherence.

Additional future focus areas include process and system enhancement, system expertise, planning parameter management, scenario tool management, data accuracy validation, statistical model management, and advanced analytics.


Working Location
: Office/Remote Hybrid. This role will be officed out of the Lakeville, MN Corporate office

This position is in-office with a flexible schedule that may entail working from home a couple of days out of the week. #LI-hybrid


DESIGNATED FUNCTIONAL AREA RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides system and tool direction for end-to-end processes ensuring alignment with the strategic goals for Capacity Planning, Distribution Requirements Planning, Inventory Planning, and/or Demand Planning
  • Establishes system and tool best practices for designated functional area through use of accurate planning parameters inclusive of safety stocks, replenishment lead times, days of forward coverage targets, warehouse capacity levels, statistical models, demand sensing, etc.
  • Identifies areas for data quality and accuracy improvements between systems and helps to resolve problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
  • Design, develop and implement change management strategies and plans related to designated functional area activities with a focus on training and onboarding new Demand, Supply, or Inventory Planners within the Advanced Planning System
  • Leverage system to optimally setup and manage the Production Network for Supply Planning
  • Make global statistical adjustments within the forecasting system for category related changes
  • Provides insights on identified issues through analytical analysis of data utilizing machine learning tools and statistical techniques
  • Ensures statistical forecasts are created for the whole of their portfolio considering demand drivers at the agreed level of hierarchy
  • Research demand drivers and align them with the Senior Manager Demand Planning and Demand Planning team
  • Accountable for Project Lifecycle Management of new and discontinuing SKUs to propose like-SKU forecasts and discuss with the Demand Planning owner to generate the initial forecast of those items, as well as consider the cannibalization impacts
  • Provide the connection between business and IT by clearly communicating business functional issues
  • Develop reports and dashboards for functional area specific KPIs at multiple levels and provide insights on contributing factors and improvement opportunities within the system
Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics or related field is required
  • Master or advanced degree (sciences or business) is preferred
EXPERIENCE:
  • Would prefer a minimum of 5 years of combined related experience operating in areas of master supply planning, inventory management, production scheduling, demand management, capacity management, materials management, business intelligence, statistical forecasting, machine leaning or distribution resource planning; with preference in food processing/packaging
  • Experience with ERP and Advanced Planning Systems is required
  • Experience with Kinaxis applicate suite is desirable
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes
  • Ability to think critically and use analytical skills to draw conclusions from known inputs and develop and present recommendations
  • Must be able to effectively interact, collaborate and communicate across multiple functions in the organization
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
