The Operations Specialist is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in running the day-to-day operations while assisting in various operational tasks. This position may require working with different departments within KOTA at different levels. Responsible for monitoring the local installation schedule and ensuring that installation crews are utilized most efficiently. With these responsibilities, you’ll be a significant factor in the accountability for Key Performance Metrics and the overall success of the market. The Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Operations Manager, permitting team, design team, and customers to prepare documents for installation crews, setting them up for ultimate success. This is an in-office position in California at our Concord, Thousand Oaks, and Carlsbad locations.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Order and receive installation-related placards.
  • Verify installation placards mirror permitted designs.
  • Prepare and review all permit packages in accordance with any necessary requirements.
  • Coordinate with Customers, internal teams, and employees to understand and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
  • Update internal systems with accurate and detailed statuses, date fields, and notes.
  • Understand local AHJ requirements related to the installation process and update the database as needed.
  • Scan and upload documents as needed.
  • Professional with a customer service mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well organized and accurate with details.
  • Must be a motivated team player looking to succeed.
  • Requires teamwork and time management skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business conditions.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Experience & Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft and/or Google applications.
  • Experience working with Adobe or other document editing programs
  • Experience with solar or construction-related field
  • Experience maintaining and organizing calendar events and timelines
  • Minimum of 1-year office experience
  • Must maintain a clean driving record and the ability to pass a driving background check.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
