Electrician – Full Time

Basic Function:

To successfully execute the installation of solar PV systems, including electrical wiring, mounting of inverters and panels, testing, installation of main switches and other standard residential work.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect the solar array to the grid power of our customer’s residential properties.
• Conduct site visits to ensure all pre-installation requirements are met
• Monitor and assess quality of solar PV installations
• Remain up to date with requirements and best practice relating to solar PV design and installations and implement changes when necessary to ensure installations meet standards
• Work with office team and homeowners to fulfill or assist in any necessary system upgrades/repairs to support our solar equipment.
• MSP Rebuilds & Upgrades
• Responsible for the groundwork of a solar installation which includes the connection to the MSP
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions and operational issues
• Communicate with customers in a professional, and respectful manner, answering all questions and complaints to the best of your ability
• Document proper paperwork for each job completed
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills:

• Ability to interpret plansets and wire diagrams
• Extensive knowledge of electrical code/wiring methods
• Knowledge of residential electrical systems
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools
• Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to safely climb ladders and navigate potentially steep roof planes
• Willingness to work through both hot and cold weather
• Experience in general construction

Preferred Skills:

• 1+ years of experience installing or servicing grid tied PV systems
• OSHA 10 or better (Can be received after hiring)
• Prior installation of EV Chargers, and Energy Storage Systems
• Prior experience of solar equipment installation

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour

• Electrical: 1 year (Preferred)
