Job Title: Software Engineer

Department: Development Team

Reports To: Product Development Manager

Location: Neenah, WI; Remote work consideration

Hours of Work: Normal business hours, Monday through Friday

Type of Position: Permanent Full-Time

Summary of Duties: Defines, develops, modifies, tests, analyzes, and maintains custom-built software applications in support of business requirements. Writes code and tests modifications to existing applications and systems. Works with subject matter experts, customer support, project management, and other developers to troubleshoot applications and maintain existing systems and products. Recommends and performs software improvements and upgrades. Software engineers will participate in impactful activities working on production software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build applications and procedures for new and existing software according to specifications
  • Writes and upgrades code to enhance functionality and/or performance for software programs and applications according to specifications
  • Develop clear, testable code for new features
  • Create and maintain unit tests
  • Peer review teammates' code
  • Installs and upgrades new software or modifications to existing software
  • Perform research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts
  • Analyzes and assesses existing business systems and procedures
  • Helps define, develop, and document business requirements and advises about possible new or modified applications
  • Writes documentation for new systems and modifications to existing systems as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent; minimum 1-5 years working experience.

Technical Skills: Microsoft Office 365 and other common business applications; experience with JavaScript, Microsoft SQL, C#, and HTML; experience with Agile Development, Entity Framework, React, AngularJS, and GitHub is desired.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
