Title: Associate Software Engineer (Java)

Reporting to: Director, Product Development

Location: This position is remote, with the option to be based out of office in Bethesda, MD. EST timezone preferred.

Opportunity:

Get Well’s Associate Software Engineer position is an opportunity to join a team of innovators who work passionately to apply advanced technologies to solve significant healthcare challenges. You will collaborate closely with Engineering leadership, Product, and QA to build and maintain products and drive product roadmap initiatives in a fast-paced, agile fashion.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Engineering team members to develop and maintain InPatient product functionality, features, and performance
• Identify problems and create/propose architecture to solve technical issues
• Participate in daily standup meetings and bi-weekly sprints
• Follow product development processes to deliver and maintain high-quality products and services
• Collaborate with QA Engineers to analyze, design and develop test cases and automated test suites
• Support customer success team and respond to issues in a professional and timely manner

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of related software development work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
• Strong experience in Java
• Experience with Java Enterprise desired (EJBs, Message Beans, etc)
• Experience with Python a plus
• Experience with AWS a plus
• Experience in databases (MySQL/MariaDB, MongoDb, Redis,, etc.)
• Experience working in agile environment
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written
• Excellent troubleshooting skills, ability to multitask and prioritize
• Adhere to all organizational information security policies and protect all sensitive information including but not limited to ePHI and PHI in accordance with organizational policy and Federal, State, and local regulations

The estimated pay for this position is about $80,000 annually, plus annual bonus potential of 5%. Base salary is dependent upon many factors including, but not limited to, education, experience, and skills. This estimate is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
