Social Worker | Day Shift | 40 hours/wk
As a social worker for Anna Jaques Hospital on the child psychiatric unit in Amesbury, Massachusetts, you'll bring your experience and knowledge where your voice matters. A social worker is an integral part of our multidisciplinary treatment team on this 16-bed speciality unit. You will provide direct care and support not only to our patients but also their families and help make decisions that impact the lives of your peers, patients and your community.
How You Care for Our Patients
As a social worker, you will be responsible for administering assessments to patients and their families, developing discharge plans, case management and providing individual and family therapy. As a social worker, you will also assist with insurance utilization review and provide interventions and liaison services directed toward comprehensive discharge strategies and aftercare planning. The social worker is a vital member of a dedicated team of professionals who work together to provide children and adolescents with effective and compassionate psychiatric care. This unit is staffed by psychiatrists, nurses, mental health counselors, occupational therapists, and social workers and is supported with the full resources of Anna Jaques Hospital and TaraVista HealthPartners.
You Bring Meaningful Experience
Successful Candidates will have the followings:
- LCSW, LICSW or license eligibility for LMHC
- Minimum one year hospital and/or social service experience, crisis intervention, and knowledge of community resources, preferred.
